Registering Apple Business in Vietnam: what you need and how it works
Apple Business is the portal that lets devices bought for your business enroll in ABMDM on first boot. This page summarizes the documents, the D-U-N-S number and the steps. If international paperwork is new to you, ABMDM can do it for you.
What do I need to register Apple Business?
You need a legal entity with a business licence, a tax code, a working website, an email address on your company domain and a D-U-N-S number that matches your name and address. After you submit, Apple calls an authorized person at your company to verify. If you do not have a D-U-N-S number, look it up first, and if there is none, request one through Apple's free route. Waiting times are set by Apple and Dun & Bradstreet.
Two things to tell apart
Apple Business
Apple's portal for organizations to manage devices and accounts. It was called Apple Business Manager until Apple renamed it in April 2026. Devices bought through the business channel are assigned to it and then pick up their configuration from the MDM.
The D-U-N-S number
A 9-digit code issued by Dun & Bradstreet to a legal entity at one address. Apple uses it to match your company, not your tax code.
Who needs to register
- Businesses and shops that want new devices to enroll the moment they are switched on.
- Dealers and chains that need one shared portal for devices across many branches.
- Sole proprietors: use the exact name on the licence and the tax code. Apple verifies the legal entity.
Documents to prepare
- Legal entity name exactly as on the business licence.
- Tax code and registered address matching the licence and the D-U-N-S record.
- A working company website.
- An email address on your company domain that is not already used for another Apple account.
- The applicant's real name, not a job label such as “IT Store”.
- A verifier who is the director or an authorized person, with a phone number that gets answered.
The steps
- Step 1
Look up or request a D-U-N-S number
Look it up first. If there is none, request one for free. Apple notes up to 5 working days to get the number, then up to 2 working days for Apple to receive the data.

Submit the registration
Go to business.apple.com on a computer and enter the organization, the D-U-N-S number and the verifier.
- Step 3
Take the verification call
Apple calls the verifier to ask whether they know the applicant and agree to the company using Apple Business.

Create admins and connect ABMDM
Once approved, create the admin account, connect it to ABMDM and make ABMDM the default for new devices.

Questions about Apple Business registration
Can a sole proprietor register for Apple Business?
Apple verifies the legal entity. Use the exact name on the licence and the tax code. If the details do not match the D-U-N-S record, Apple sends the application back to be fixed.
Can I register with a Gmail address?
Use an email on your company domain that is not tied to a personal Apple account. A domain email helps Apple see an organization rather than a personal account.
How long until I can use it?
It is not fixed. Apple notes up to 5 working days to get a D-U-N-S number and up to 2 working days for Apple to receive the data, followed by the verification call.
Is a D-U-N-S number the same as a tax code?
No. The tax code is a Vietnamese code. D-U-N-S is a 9-digit code from Dun & Bradstreet that Apple uses to verify a legal entity.
