MDM software cost: per device or a bundle?
MDM software on ABMDM is priced per device seat, billed every six months in VND, with VAT invoices — not a hidden “unlimited devices” bundle. Starter is 150,000 VND per device per six months, with no activation fee. Professional is 100,000 VND per device per six months plus a one-time 6,650,000 VND activation fee. The trial is 14 days, up to five devices, with no upfront payment. Apple Business registration is 13,000,000 VND.
Priced per device, per term
MDM software cost on ABMDM is a device seat on a six-month term, paid in VND, with a VAT invoice. There is no “all-you-can-enrol” bundle that hides the unit price. Details: pricing.
Starter: 150,000 VND per device per six months, no activation fee — about 25,000 VND per device per month as the site explains it.
Professional: 100,000 VND per device per six months plus a one-time lifetime activation fee of 6,650,000 VND. From about 133 devices per term, Professional is cheaper in the first term; later terms are always cheaper because you do not pay activation again.
Enterprise: contact us, large fleets, custom integration.
Apple Business registration service: 13,000,000 VND — file, D-U-N-S, verification, ABMDM connection. Not required if you already have the portal. Self-serve steps: how to register for Apple Business.
Searches for “MDM software pricing” often compare yearly unlimited-device bundles. ABMDM uses seats so a shop knows what each phone costs, and a free seat can move to another phone mid-term.
What unlimited-device yearly deals often hide
Shops ask for “one yearly price, any number of phones”. That number drifts when the fleet grows: cheap at 30 devices, expensive at 200, or a surprise overage. Seats make the unit cost visible before you buy another batch.
Compare by solution group, not foreign brand names: company iPhone management. When Apple’s portal is enough, and when you need a paid MDM: free Apple MDM and paid MDM.
| Line | Figure on the site |
|---|---|
| Starter | 150,000 VND / device / 6 months |
| Professional | 100,000 VND / device / 6 months + 6,650,000 VND activation |
| Apple Business registration | 13,000,000 VND |
| Trial | 14 days, up to 5 devices, no prepayment |
The Professional activation fee is once, not every term. Mid-term seat moves: when a staff phone is returned or an instalment is paid off, that seat attaches to another device; you do not lose the term already paid.
Pay by bank transfer or VietQR. A VAT invoice is issued for each payment.
What does not happen if you forget to renew
End-user devices are not locked because the shop forgot to renew. Devices keep their state; new commands pause for 30 days while you renew — as the pricing FAQ on the site states.
The trial does not charge and does not convert. When the trial ends, trial devices leave management under the payments policy.
Coming soon items (DDM, silent app install, single-app kiosk, Android/Knox Guard, Mac) are not in the price you pay today. Do not use today’s price to promise work that has not shipped.
Count seats before you pick a plan
Count staff phones, counter devices, unpaid instalment units and devices still out on lease. Paid-off phones and broken units waiting for disposal do not need a seat. Use the five-device trial to see lock, unlock and tiers — then pay the first term.
Below about 133 devices per term, Starter is usually simpler: no activation fee. From that point, Professional is cheaper in the first term; later terms widen the gap because you do not pay 6,650,000 VND again. 133 is how the site explains the table, not a volume commitment.
Enterprise is for a separate contract, a large fleet, or custom integration. Call 0913 081 986; do not multiply Starter by 2,000 devices yourself.
Costs next to MDM — and costs that are not MDM
Apple Business registration at 13,000,000 VND if you have no portal: a one-time line, your legal entity. Business-channel or retail hardware is device cost, not ABMDM. SIMs, Wi-Fi and charging cabinets are shop operations.
If you forget to renew: end-user devices are not locked. New commands pause 30 days. That exists so an accounting miss does not become an unfair lock for the person holding the phone.
VAT invoices follow each payment. Keep them. When a seat moves mid-term, record the old serial, the new serial and the date, so renewal matches the fleet.
Compare by group: manual setup (cheap software, expensive labour), free Apple portal (enough if you only assign devices), paid MDM (when you need tiers, VietQR, VAT). Free Apple MDM sets that frame, without naming foreign products.
Trial 14 days. Call 0913 081 986 (8am–9pm) to pick a plan from your real device count.
